There are trials, sufferings, sorrows, deaths, abuse, bitterness, resentments, feelings of being alone, and unimportant to mention a few, that the members endure through with fortitude. Yes the people in the church go through all these kind of issues, trials, tragedies, and painful sufferings. Let’s compare how they are, to what they would be like, without the gospel in their lives. Would they not therefore be in hopelessness, and in despair, without the hope and faith needed to triump over their enemies , God forbid! Without the church we would be worse off, than maybe an unhappy person still going to church, yet is suffering, sometimes intently. Everyone’s trails and sufferings are grievous hard to bear, and it takes time for us humans to learn how to suffer and endure well. It takes time to learn how to be happy in the mist of afflictions, temptations , and sufferings. I myself, can’t turn happiness on and off, as to be able to wear a smile, or even to feel safe, yet I do my best. I go to the Lord trusting Him as I can, even complaining at times, imploring his aid and comfort wanting the trial to end, knowing that it won’t until the purification by fire does shape, and mold us in a new way. Are we not to bear one another’s burdens, and mourn with those that mourn? We can’t know what joy is until we experience sorrow, have faith without fear or despair, delight and gladness without depression, pain, or agony and so forth. Some may do it better than others, yet for me it is difficult to be in despair, because of a huge trial, and then still to wear a smile on my face. I am here on earth partly to learn how. Not there even yet. God forbid.Gratitude comes in to play as we have accepted all that The Lord as to give us, and continue to persevere out of that gratitude for His plan of salvation and exaltation, even though it is a tough road to walk, sometimes even faltering and falling. Yes we complain to the Lord, and special friends imploring for their help, understanding, encouragement, aid and instruction.
Those that don’t receive the things, that God as given us, or His gospel or even the Father’s Son, look to them for a lack of gratitude. I find no fault in the good members that are trying and enduring the best they can. We need to at times count our blessings, which may cheer us up even in the mist of suffering, but there’s more to it than that to becoming and finding contentment, peacefulness, and happiness in this life. We only are to see a measure of joy in this life knowing that in the next all things will be recompensed for the sorrows, and sufferings endured. Our joy then will be measured and filled. We then will have delightful, joyous, and glorious days on the eternal planet of everlasting love, The Celestial Earth, with the Father and with His Son.
