A letter To My Unborn Daughter

I love you more than words can express. want to write you this letter so that I can tell you some things I wish I had known when I was younger.First of all I want you to know that your father and I have a love for you stronger than all the oceans and winds combined. I want you to know that we will always try and give you the best life we can. However that does not always mean we will give you what you want. I want you to know that  sometimes we will tell you no and if we do its not because we are trying to be mean and keep you from doing all the things the other kids are doing, it’s because we care about you and want to give you and want to keep you safe. I want you to know that it’s okay to not always be okay! I can not stress this enough. You do not always have to be strong and you do not always have to hide your emotions. I know it can be hard but emotions are not weakness they are strength.

I want you to know that your father and I are bringing you into a world where things are not all good, there a people out there who want to hurt you, there are scary and dangerous monsters in this world and one of the scariest things can be your own mind. There are people that will try and make you feel bad for being strange and goofy. I’m sorry my dear you may not be what society deems “perfect” but I want you to know that you are beautiful and that the most beautiful thing in the world is a smile. And kindness and compassion make everyone more attractive! I want you to know that your father and I are so incredibly proud of you.I want you to know that you can come tell us anything and nothing needs to be kept a secret, and nothing needs to be awkward! We may not always agree with the choices you have made but we will always support you in them; as long as they are not putting you in danger! I want you to know sweetie that you are being watched out for and I truly believe with all my heart that the Lord is protecting you and helping to guide you as long as you listen for him! I want you to know that you are a beautiful and wonderful girl! I want you to know that you can be strong and independent. You can change the world! But you can not accomplish anything without trials and these trials will try to knock you down and kick you around but you will be able to over come them! I want you to know that boys do not determine your self worth.

Finally just know that life is short and there will be big moments and small ones all of which will come together to make you who you are. These moments may be good or bad but they are all valuable! Life is short and once a moment is gone it can never be brought back, so live life for these moments and make everyone one of them count.
