In addition to Chu Ling’s employment, he volunteers as a lay leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons).
As president of the Church’s Upolu Samoa Malie Stake, Chu Ling provides leadership and counselling to around 2,000 Latter-day Saints in the Malie area.
There are 20 Latter-day Saint stakes in Samoa. Each stake is composed of several wards (congregations).
Chu Ling balances his time as a church leader along with his employment service in the Samoa Public Service where he has been employed for some 20 years.
