The world-renowned Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square in Salt Lake City has announced a new mission that will see the choir embrace international singers for the first time in its history.
The Tabernacle Choir has long been known for its stunning vocal performances, which have been heard by millions of people around the globe. With the new mission, the choir will look to expand its reach even further by welcoming singers from outside the United States.
According to a statement released by the choir, the decision to embrace international singers is part of an effort to reflect the diversity of the world and to celebrate the many different cultures that make up the global community.
“We are thrilled to welcome singers from around the world into the Tabernacle Choir family,” said Ron Jarrett, president of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. “Our mission has always been to inspire and uplift people through music, and by embracing international singers, we hope to reach even more people and spread our message of hope and unity.”
The choir has already begun the process of selecting international singers to join its ranks. Auditions are being held in various countries around the world, and the choir has been receiving applications from talented singers from all corners of the globe.
One of the first international singers to be welcomed into the choir is Mei Yan from China. Yan, who has been singing since she was a child, said that joining the Tabernacle Choir was a dream come true.
“I have always loved the Tabernacle Choir and have admired their talent and their commitment to spreading joy through music,” Yan said. “To be able to join them and to be part of this incredible mission is an honor and a privilege.”
The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square was founded in 1847 and has since become one of the most famous choirs in the world. Its performances have been broadcast on radio and television and have been heard by millions of people around the globe.
With the new mission to embrace international singers, the Tabernacle Choir is poised to reach even more people and to continue to inspire and uplift audiences around the world.
