The Lord bends and stretches us through trials, temptation, and experiences thereby tempering us. The Potter working His hard clay to temper, and to soften it, and then to form it. He does not break or change us all at once. That would be like poof, I’m someone different. Where did I go? This begs the question, should we be impatient, intolerant, full of fear, or controlling on waiting for our family, our friends, or our love ones to have this change of heart. The spiritual dynamics of this change requires many many myriads of things to happen within. It is like unto a pregnancy, where many things are coming together to form into a orderly little baby within the womb. We can not see, tell, or know what’s really happening, yet in the end there is a new birth a new beginning. The outer package may not even appear different, yet the old creature is dying, and the deeds of the flesh are being mortified and finally a new creature makes its appearance. One is then born anew. It may even appear while the process is ongoing, that nothing is happening, nothing is changing, yet unaware things are being lined up and put into proper order as bundles of truths and goods are arranged, rearranged into a more heavenly form, all for the foundation of this mighty change.
The Lord is in control of the fruition of this change, or rebirth. Patience, understanding, tolerance, charity and love is a remedy, as oppose to placing stumbling blocks in front of another. To react in anger, frustration, without love and charity will only delay or even abort this heavenly process. And that will be judged.
That is why some people have a hard time coming to, or back to church. It is our obligation to welcome all our brothers and sisters back home with loving arms and kind words. We do not need to add to their guilt and remorse by judging them, or being critical of their behavior, thus causing harm or injury to this new spiritual birthing process.
Romans 8:13 -18 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness withour spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
2 Corinthians 5 :17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Peter 1:7 – 9 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now yes we him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
